Pittsburgh, PA (March 17, 2014)  Linda Wolfson, Executive Director of Vita, presented a workshop at the national conference of the Commission on Adult Basic Education (COABE) held in Pittsburgh, PA in March. The workshop, “A Change in Thinking: Supporting Adult Learner Persistence,” focused on Vita’s trademarked Decisions process as a problem-solving model to address the issues that keep students from coming to class. It was very well received by attendees, many of whom are interested in purchasing the DFA facilitator’s manual and workbook package.

The workshop was designed to demonstrate to adult education providers the link between the development of thinking skills through the DFA process and its applicability to academic achievement.

A follow-up webinar called “Thinking it Through: Using the Decisions For Action (DFA) process to improve reading comprehension” will be offered in April.
